Project Info
Historically, Yacht Shots BVI would download masses of digital images from their cameras to their individual PCs, transferring files via USB drives to each other and customers’ browsing laptops. A central SBS file server was specified to host these huge volumes of data, configured with over a terabyte of RAID protected storage to ensure protection from hard drive failure and secure access for browsing.
Their second office in the North Sound was configured with access to the Nanny Cay office to transfer files via secure VPN. The remote clients were also able to securely hook on to the new Exchange server by utilising Outlook over HTTP.
When the Nanny Cay office closed and replaced by a new second site in the North Sound, we were able to physically connect and reconfigure the new office to effectively be as if in the same building as the first.
We moved their email to a cloud hosted (but locally cached) solution, better suited to the North Sound’s much less solid internet connection to the rest of the world.
